Re: Webley Mk VI

That's not big, that's the size they are. The later WW2 .38's were a smaller size as it had a less powerful round, but the .455's where a big powerful handgun.

The CO2 Webley BB and .177 is a superbly made revolver, the tolerences and build are very high quality. It's a really great replica.

Worn mine for a few weeks now. Bought them for costuming, and like them so much I've worn them hiking and whilst out doing field work. I was wrong about the speed lacers, they haven't worn the laces out at all.

Re: Wested boots?

Nice boots, fit true to size, made from decent quality leather, and above all really comfortable straight out of the box. My only gripe is the brass speed lacers. They have no structural strength and bend easily when tightening your laces. They're very sharp too, so buy many spare laces as you'll ne...

Re: Magnoli Mk VII snaps

I think this misalignment is normal on most original WW2 bags and it's for the simple reason that the lip of the bag stretches when full and they align perfectly then. The same is true on my Magnoli bags so absolutely nothing to worry about. If they didn't have this feature, a full bag would constan...

If they did indeed use the Australian model with the tear-drop crown, and NOT the poet. When re-blocked and bashed to the style we know and love, wouldn't this have produced a higher crown and therefore a deeper centre dent? I have seen this theory somewhere here before and it really does ring true....

It's definately not a joke, the locker is in two halves, the top being of mesh and used to store caps and helmets etc. This part was wrecked, and it would only have taken the same amount of force to gain entrance into the main body of the locker. I wouldn't worry, the seams and lining will fall apart long before the leather deteriorates. Remember, loads of flight jackets from WWI still survive today in excellent condition, without the application of any product. Wear it hard and enjoy it.
