also bear in mind that depending on how you use it, it may shrink a tad with wear... my akubura (regular, not delux) has been through a lot (very hot/cold/wet/dry conditions) and has tightened a bit though i prefer a tight fit (it can sit loosly on your head or be pulled down for windy conditions) t...

yeah I recomend instead of soaking, wearing it in rain or using a spray bottle, or just soaking parts of the hat... Thats what I've done with my akubera

I just put yes because I wear my hat most during excavations and if it werent for indy I'd probably wear a slightly bigger hat with a chin strap (more practicle) but the indy look is associated with more adverousity so i go with it instead.... i guess it might be no if im wearing it with a more form...

I can echo the previous wisdom... my AB is brand new looking at two years, and admittedly my one year old akubura has seen MUCH more wear, 30 days of rediculous rain for random amounts of time between beating sun during 12 hour excavation shifts in harder winds than I've ever been able to wear a hat...

Its close enough for my taste, if I were to guess as to screen accuracy I'd go with non-satin, but I think the satin would look very cool with a satin white bowtie I have (and white pants and an eye patch... if only one of my eyes didn't work... :c)

Also the drying thing will probably be okay with the leather, it may cause the jacket to shrink a bit... I think it did take a bit of shine out of my Wested, but it wasnt shiny enough to bother me to begin with and I may even be imagining it because it's not the factor I paid attention to when doing...
