Hello, I live in southern California, we don't get much in the way of a winter here, like Australia. I own a dark brown lambskin Raiders jacket, and I've had it a little over a year and a half. It has aged well, there are spots that are wearing, and I've worn it hiking a few times, which adds to it'...

I have a Wested lambskin and from what I've seen, the difference is, the authentic lamb is lighter in color, definitely brown, where the regular lamb is a very dark brown, almost black. Thickness varies from shipment to shipment. As far as, distressing goes, mine is only a couple of months old and I...

Thanks for the replies! I would opt for just getting a new jacket in cowhide. . . possibly goat, however, I only recently purchased a jacket in New lamb, which fits great and is very nice. My problem is that I have no money to order another and I would rather only have two jackets as opposed to thre...

Do you think Peter would adjust. . .

Hello, Last October I bought a Raiders new cow Wested, size 44. My first jacket was a little snug in the shoulders, so I had the tailor measure a little larger this time. It's huge. My point: I would like to have some of the girth taken out of the chest, stomach, waist and the arm hole. I know most ...

Does lamb stretch?

This may seem "pretty stupid" but. . . I had a cowhide for a year and a half. In that time I went from a 42 regular, to a 44. The jacket fit me as well as it ever did although a problem from the beginning was shoulder space and sleeve length. Here's where it gets stupid: Because that jacke...

any naturaly aged lambs?

Hi, We've seen plenty of jackets that have been artificially distressed, each a work of art. However, I was wondering if anyone had some pics of their naturally aged lambs, lambtouches, or goats for the posting. I feel like I'm soliciting people to be in a dirty movie. Please post your pics. Show us...

Ah-ha! Then to you Mike, I ask, Does it distress as easily as lamb? I also like a darker brown than the authentic. I know it isn't entirely screen accurate, but to me the jacket will always be a little darker than it actually was. And I'll say it, I liked the more rounded edged cargo pockets. Thanks...

Thank you, Indiana Ken. Lamb it is! I've been tearing myself apart over this for a few months now. You have given me the exact answer I have sought.
Good day to you.

Does goat distress like lamb?

There, I said it. I'm going after another jacket. Hopefully Peter will be at the QM and I will be measured for a new jacket. I want it slimmer(in the slim pattern) but I want it somewhat durable if not rally durable and I want it to distress well. My last two jackets have been cowhide, not much of a...

Same question asked 10000x by a different guy

Hiya, I am wanting a new Wested, 'cause my currnet one is too big. I owned one pior to this, it was great, but the sleeves were just a little too short and I needed a small bit more shoulder room. Two minor points I wish I had simply lived with, cause now, I really miss that jacket and I don't want ...

MK,
I thought I read a post about your new lambskin jacket being longer in back than in front when the jacket was zipped. I have the same problem with my newcow which I recieved in October. Any way of avoiding this problem when ordering my new authentic lamb?
Thanks in advance,

Yes, I am looking for a tighter fit and a lighter weight. My current cow is great but, you know how it is when we get what we want. . . we want more.
Thanks for the reply.

New mods, tighter fit.

I want to order a new "original lamb" jacket with not as deep a pleat and more accurate pockets(like the ones from two years ago with the rounded edges) and a smaller collar. I currently have a Raiders cow with a collar larger than I want it and just want something that doesn't neccessaril...
