The more you wear them, the better they'll wear. I wore my Corcoran boots in the rain and tall grass and let them dry naturally. A friend of mine who was in the Navy knew people who used to shower with their new boots.

I totally agree with Dalexs - you gotta actually wear them and get them as wet as possible inside and out. Then let them dry on a radiator or in the dryer. Repeat as often as necessary. To get a pair of gloves to stretch and conform to your hands do the same thing but allow to dry in room temp.

Those are actually my favorite pants and I'm able to easily able to replace them at the Manchester NH Bean's outlet. But you have to bring your own measuring tape since the sizes aren't accurate.

Has anyone ever noticed that hat blocks are actually ROUND.

I made one with plaster once, $25 down the drain when it crumbled when I tried to use it the first time.

What would be the best wood to use to make your own? I have a bunch of pine and oak in my basement.

The best part about the temperature that's hovering around zero is that when it returns to the high 20's and low 30's, it feels so tropical. It was 32 and I felt like wearing shorts!
