Re: Getting back that new leather smell

I don't know of any way to get it back, but this might keep your next jacket from losing that beef jerky smell as fast. My US Wings Legend is a little over a year old now, and it still has that new jacket smell, especially when it is warm. None of my other two jackets have it, so it might just be th...

I'd recommend calling US Wings and talking to them. In fact, you might see if they will hold your order if it has not already shipped. The other interesting thing was the boots, Red Wing not Alden 405s. Huh, they look like 405s to me. :-k I guess since DN was curating she used Redwings since that is what she planned to use even though we all know HF wore his 405s instead. :-k I wonder why they have prohibited photography? :(

This is very much an eye of the beholder situation in my opinion. I doubt that the cost of the hide alone can justify the difference in price, but maybe I'm wrong. Who knows? On the other hand it's all relative. Everyone who has bought the BK has been very happy with what they got. Would they have b...

I am afraid I disagree, sort of anyway. I don't think the jacket can adequately be described as baggy or as fitted. When the jacket is zipped up, for example in all the scenes in the Raven Bar it looks very fitted, however when it is not zipped it looks super baggy. I don't think that it looks that ...

Re: Paracord Bullwhip Build Log –Mod Approved

Remember that with paracord you actually *don't* want to pull super tight. The whip will either take forever to break in, or it just won't ever break in if your plaiting is too tight. The reason leather needs to be pulled tight is because over time it stretches and loosens -- paracord won't do that...
