Aussie source for Bag and Boots

Guys, There's a good site in Sydney, Australia, selling replica WW1 uniforms and accessories. Have a look at the bag and boots he's selling on the following links. Bag on bottom of page at: http://www.lawranceordnance.com/new/equipment-other-reproduction.html Boots about half way down page at: http:...

I'm rather partial to my Martini Henry Cavalry Carbine with 21" barrel launching .303 rounds. It's a little slow on the the reload, but what the heck, it looks great and has plenty of style.

If you want a Keppler whip for Christmas, I suggest you order it now. I still haven't seen mine and I placed the order some months ago. :?

Here's some pictures of the same toy pistol that I modified. You also see it next to some real hardware for size comparison.

The only problem I've experienced with a Keppler whip is getting hold of one. It's my original post that relates to the thread mentioned above. I've placed an order with Lee a couple of times - great communication with every question I asked - right up to the point where I place an order with him, a...

Four months? I've been unsuccessfully sending Lee emails pretty regularly for the past month. It sounds like we're going to be lucky to get our stuff by Christmas. The things I've ordered, or trying to order, are supposed to be my wife and kids' Christmas present to me. It sounds like I might have t...

'Busy' is an understatement. I emailed Lee my order for a holster and whip over a month and a half ago, and still no response. But, as they say, I'm sure it'll be worth the wait.

Since the question has been asked… Wool needs to be cleaned free of the lanolin grease with which sheep make themselves warm and waterproof. The substance used to wash the raw wool is found, some hundreds of feet thick, in Middle Jurassic strata between the Inferior and the Great Oolites, and is kno...

You can usually order Fullers Earth through chemist shop, but it is very expensive. I've used dry powdered earth that I crushed up and put through a sieve. The only trick is to find the right colour, and be sure it's relatively pure with no lime or other contaminants present. And it is free! Don't f...

I agree with Michaelson. I've got two pair of the Indy frames, and I've seen many pairs of similar frames in antique shops which beat the heck out of the BIOC 1930's repros for quality of build and robustness. It may take a couple of weeks to hunt around to find the right pair, but you'll pay a frac...

Thanks for the advice, guys. I have purchased this gun for my Indy collection, since it seems close to a Raiders S&W, if you don't look too closely. I'll probably take it out every now and then and put a few rounds through it, just to blow out the cobwebs. But for $35.00 Australian, which is abo...

Any idea of the possible year of manufacture?

Anyone identify this pistol?

Can any of you gun buffs out there identify this pistol? It seems to be a little over .38 cal. I suspect it may have been re-chambered for a larger caliber. Some of the markings are unclear and I think it might be a foreign S&W copy. I heard some South American countries used to make copies of M...

Anyone own a Lee Keppler whip?

Hi I'm a newbie to this whip thing, and I'm thinking about buying a Lee Keppler. My main interst is to have a whip for decoration, which I could also take out for the occasional crack. If anyone has one of Lee's whips, are they durable enough for actual use, and which length would be the best for di...

Reducing the shine on a Wested Lamb

What would be the best way to reduce the shine on a Wested Lamb without actually giving it a distressed look. I've had my jacket for two years now and it is starting to show some natural distressing, but there is still that new shine. I was thinking that dabbing the jacket with a ball of cloth soake...

I don't think the barrel is any longer than 3 inches. The muzzle only extends less than an inch from the ejector steady. To help me with a barrel conversion I'm doing at the moment, could somebody please tell me the outside diameter of a .45 S&W barrel. Preferably in millimeters. Thanks ~ falconau

Preferably in millimeters.

Given that kangaroos are in plague proportions in some parts of Australia, there's bound to be no shortage of good quality pelts. We've just had a cull of 15,000 kangeroos not far from where I live, and that is planned to become a yearly event to keep numbers down.

These holsters look like they're built for a 6 inch barrel, which I guess was the standard military issue, at that time. Do these holsters tend to swallow a 4 inch Webley, as Indy had, or is it a neat fit? They appear to be quite large holsters, and I think my .38 S&W or .357 Python would get lo...
