Captain D, here is the old thread that mentioned the dye being a possible concern. You'll find the reference in the second post. I have no idea if this is true or not. Just something to look into, I suppose, if one is planning on using Earth in other than a natural color. BTW - Hi! And thanks for yo...

Okay. I may try dirtying it naturally to get an idea of things, but I think Fullers Earth would be more stable for extended use. I'm in the States and one place that I see that carries colored Fullers Earth is Cine Shoppe. The colors that seem to be possiblities are Natural and Cocoa Brown. Does any...

I'm in Northern California and am pretty much absorbed by work for the next couple of months. If your pocket flap is an example of their current material, I would love to either borrow it or purchase it from you. It would help me to decide what to do about the Wested's. My original preference...

Then wood it is! I'll post pics when I get them done. In the meantime, here's the downlow on these grips. The grips are castings of a Bakelite set of Franzite grips. Franzite (Now defunct.) was a company that made replacement grips. The good news is that the casting and detail is very crisp. The bad...

Okay! Thanks to the mods, this thread has been moved here. Hopefully, this is a more appropriate place for it. So, I've been racking my brain and considering possiblities for distressing this jacket for a satisfactory Raiders look. My latest whacko-extreme idea concerns lightening the color of the l...

Hmmm.... Now that I have re-read my post, I think it may sound like I'm selling these. I'm not. I simply purchased them. Anyway, thanks for your input, Merrick. I appreciate it. Did the Bapty gun have wood grips? If it did, I will go that route. I need to find some good pics of similar wood grips to...

UPDATE - Painted - My New S&W Replica Raiders Grips
http://kre8iv.com/pics/grips/DCP_0014.jpg I intend to use them on a decent cheapie toy replica for a holster filler. Now I'll be shopping the dollar stores with grips in hand! They're made of resin with the brass inserts for the screw. Total price including insured USPS Priority Mail: $21.30 U.S. S...

Thanks for the replies. I really appreciate it. :) In a PM I received, I was told that the jacket I have is the second one. Not the first that was not made to his specs. The jacket I have is a beautiful dark brown goat made with cking mods and the custom flannel lining. I have absolutely no problem ...

Distressing Advice On Wested Goat?
I bought a Wested Goat, size 42 a while ago. It seems to be sized more like a 40. I think it belonged to someone who has posted here in the past. Anyway, I think it's an unusual jacket because it has a custom brown flannel lining. I bought it to use on a Raiders display figure and plan to distress i...

David Morgan Handle Question
Hi all! I've never seen or handled a DM in person and I was wondering something about their construction. I am curious about what makes up the handle underneath the leather. I've read that under the leather is an eight inch spike. Okay. I think I understand that to be a rod that tapers to a point at...

Anyone Cast A Morgan In Resin?
A little off-topic for this group, and I certainly don't mean to be blasphemous, but I have to ask! Has anyone cast a David Morgan 12 ft. in resin, for display only? I'm making a life-sized Indy figure and thought this would be an excellent alternative to buying the real deal, since it's just going ...

Sizing?
To those who have received their shirts, I would like to know your opinions on sizing. Do you recommend size Medium for an accurate look on a Harrison Ford'ish 40" chest build? (ROTLK) Should I be concerned about shrinkage, or are the shirts pretty stable?

Ha! Ha! Actually, I'm thinking about returning them and getting the Y0122's instead. I do need some new work gloves, but I'm thinking I'll go buy them at Costco. Three pairs of WL's for $20! (not 1130's) Which brings me to a gripe I have about the palm reinforcement on the new 1130's. My work gloves...

Very nice! I'm new here and I would like to create an Indy figure for myself. It will take me a while to learn about Indy gear, but in the end, I think I will have had a lot of fun learning, and virtually meeting some of the club members. The head is nicely finished and I especially love the base. G...

Thanks for the replies everyone. I appreciate your taking the time to post here. I can post some pics of what I picked up, but they aren't anything that hasn't been posted in the past. One thing I can say that is different from what I have read in old threads, they cost more now. At least in the sto...

Newbie Introduction - Gloves Question
Hello! I am a new Student Ditch Digging, Poop-Picker-Upperer Novice here. I am only now beginning to learn about Indy Gear. I have wanted to introduce myself but haven't known how. Now I want to confirm my understanding of gloves and thought I'd kill two birds with one stone. After reading past glov...
