I have a goat that I bought some time ago from someone who was a member here. It has a flannel lining for added warmth. Since I bought it for a mannequin display, I have planned on replacing it with another with the standard lining. After all, I don't think the mannequin will mind.

Captain D, here is the old thread that mentioned the dye being a possible concern. You'll find the reference in the second post. I have no idea if this is true or not. Just something to look into, I suppose, if one is planning on using Earth in other than a natural color. BTW - Hi! And thanks for yo...

Okay. I may try dirtying it naturally to get an idea of things, but I think Fullers Earth would be more stable for extended use. I'm in the States and one place that I see that carries colored Fullers Earth is Cine Shoppe. The colors that seem to be possiblities are Natural and Cocoa Brown. Does any...

Captain D, I 've been considering this possibliltiy lately. Although, not the light brown earth, as you suggest. Maybe this comined with the lighter "dusty" earth, would be a way for me to go. Basically, I'm still mulling it all over. I will give some different colors of Fuller's Earth a t...

I'm in Northern California and am pretty much absorbed by work for the next couple of months. If your pocket flap is an example of their current material, I would love to either borrow it or purchase it from you. It would help me to decide what to do about the Wested's. My original preference...

If the color is like those in Raiders, that's great for me. I hope that is the case. Having never seen a pair other than in pictures, I can't tell for sure because of all the variations in the color of the images themselves.

Then wood it is! I'll post pics when I get them done. In the meantime, here's the downlow on these grips. The grips are castings of a Bakelite set of Franzite grips. Franzite (Now defunct.) was a company that made replacement grips. The good news is that the casting and detail is very crisp. The bad...

http://kre8iv.com/pics/grips/DCP_0014.jpg I intend to use them on a decent cheapie toy replica for a holster filler. Now I'll be shopping the dollar stores with grips in hand! Distressing Advice On Wested Goat?

I bought a Wested Goat, size 42 a while ago. It seems to be sized more like a 40. I think it belonged to someone who has posted here in the past. Anyway, I think it's an unusual jacket because it has a custom brown flannel lining. I bought it to use on a Raiders display figure and plan to distress i...

David Morgan Handle Question

Hi all! I've never seen or handled a DM in person and I was wondering something about their construction. I am curious about what makes up the handle underneath the leather. I've read that under the leather is an eight inch spike. Okay. I think I understand that to be a rod that tapers to a point at...

Anyone Cast A Morgan In Resin?

A little off-topic for this group, and I certainly don't mean to be blasphemous, but I have to ask! Has anyone cast a David Morgan 12 ft. in resin, for display only? I'm making a life-sized Indy figure and thought this would be an excellent alternative to buying the real deal, since it's just going ...

Sizing?

To those who have received their shirts, I would like to know your opinions on sizing. Do you recommend size Medium for an accurate look on a Harrison Ford'ish 40" chest build? (ROTLK) Should I be concerned about shrinkage, or are the shirts pretty stable?

Would wiping the coloring of the mule with acetone and working the leather to smooth it out work?

If the cuff band isn't correct, I could always modify that.

On the other hand, if you make some gloves available for a decent price, you'll save me some work! :D
