Yep, same problem for me. Coupled with not liking the eppulettes for comfort of carrying a MKVII, that's why I got rid of my Wested shirts for LLBean ones, but then I'm using my gear as functional travel gear :wink:

Steve can correct me if I'm wrong, but as I'm aware hat size is a factor.

Steve only has so many blocks, so the more common hat sizes stack up waiting for others on the block. An obscure hat size - veru small or very large - might get out quicker, as the block is likely not even in use.

Mike - I had exactly the same problem with my first Wested, which was solved by going one size up. If you want the raised yoke seam accurate to the Raiders jacket, as for the 80's cut as Last Crusader said. I can't vouch for if this will work as I haven't tried it yet myself, although I intend to.

IndyDoc - That's interesting :) 5" yoke is about optimum I would say :D I have a 40" chest Wested which is supposed to be a Raiders pattern, but the shoulder yoke/seam set up is TOD/LC , so the yoke depth is 6" I think (unfortunately I'm at work so I don't have the details to hand). ...
