Sizing - Foam/Tape on a Fed IV

Hi all, Just received my Fed IV regular. This is my first hat ever, but wow is it beautiful. The color is so rich. But anyway, it was a bit too big out of the box, and I applied the roll of foam. I think it is now a bit too small, although I'm not really sure since I'm not really sure how tight is t...

I have a Wested Raiders with cotton body/silk arms--I like the arms that way for getting shirt sleeves through, but the cotton body is disentegrating for no apparent reason on very careful use. This is after 4 years.

Thanks, Appalachia. I wear a 38L suit. I told Wested that when I ordered and I also gave them measurements (including waist/chest). It always bothered me that the jacket came a little too big, and it bothered me more when I noticed the "40" tag in the back. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE my We...

Mil-spec = military? Is that just G&B and Wings of our happy options?

Edit: And a BIG thank you to everyone who has responded. :)

Desert Jacket - Thoughts - Review

Hi all. I've been sorting through posts for a while now, and I haven't found answers to a few of my questions. (If they exist, point me in the right direction and kick me off the truck...) I also have a few thoughts I feel like sharing. I will be moving soon to Arizona--to the hot, dry desert. In my...

Yeah, I've never really liked the LC jacket because of those stripes, and the sort of blue-ish tint that shines through between them. Never thought it has the bad***, hero quality of the both the Raiders or the ToD.

Just my 2 cents.

Thanks for the replies everyone. I am leaning towards the goat, now, although I would still like to see some cowhide pictures. (I've been looking, and I will continue to do so, but most of the older links are broken.) What is making me lean towards goat is partly that the warmth difference seems to ...

Ken, would you say the Cowhide is significantly warmer than the Goatskin? Or perhaps, is the Goatskin closer to the Lamb warmth or the Cowhide warmth? I have heard everyone rave about Goat/Lamb, and not as much about Cowhide, and have seen many many pictures of Goat (that look great), and not that m...

Warmer Alternative

Hey all. I ordered a Wested Lamb Authentic Brown Raiders this summer and love it. But, I also want to have another, warmer jacket for the winter months (and no, I don't want to layer). Now, I do love the Lamb, but if I did it again, I would order it slightly smaller, and slightly shorter. It feels j...

14300hh00 Exquisa at www.knifeshop.com I have absolutely no knowledge of pocket knives, except that to me this one looks very much like the other hubertus stag pocket knife above - except with about .5 inch longer blade? Tell me what I'm missing, or is this perhaps another option for a longer bladed...

I like best how the shine is gone and along the seams. The distressing isn't obvious at all, subtle, it just looks well worn. Which is exactly how you want it, imho. Looks great.

As is, it looks extremely sweet on ya. I wouldn't have noticed the sleeves if it hadn't been pointed out. I think it is mostly about how they feel on you, now, if it is worth having it altered. But, then again, I'm just a newb...

Not sure if this helps, but... ...I ordered a Wested Raiders Lamb in June of this year. I'm 6'2", skinny, and long armed. I measured my arms/sleeves and my chest, and also specified that I wore a 38 long sports jacket. The length of the jacket is just about perfect, hitting an inch or two below...

Until then, if you want a hat in my size(7 1/4), or 7 3/8, I can make you one with a plain sweat and plain liner for 175 for the beaver and 75 for the rabbit.
Are those US or UK sizes? :)

I believe I wear a 58cm (Akubra), and am wondering if that size converts.

Thanks.
