The Alden shop in Manhattan is small but nice. They have "The Boot" as well as a nice selection of (pricey) shoes. :)
The museums are great, you should see a Broadway show if time permits.
Do not forget The Empire State Building or Top of the Rock for spectacular views of Manhattan.

Thank you for that information. If you have really discovered a way of "killing" felt, it will make the AB an even better product! The more I wear my AB the better it seems to fit. I think the quality and construction is outstanding. You and Marc are doing an impressive job with the AB line.

These boots are nicer looking than the Ruggeds, imho.
They do not have the thick padding around the ankle and the color looks great in the picture.

I do not find the WPG strap to be inferior. The only drawbacks are the color (sort of a light caramel when new) and lack of grooves. My strap has broken in very nicely since I have had it. With "real world" use, the color has darkened up quite nicely.
