I wore a cowhide Cooper Indy jacket for about ten years until it was ruined by a dry cleaner during a cleaning. I replaced it with a goatskin Expo from G&B. The goatskin has a smoother feel to it and is much lighter. I like it very much.

I've had my goatskin Expo for almost a year now. It has a 40R body and 40S sleeves and fits great. It has become quite supple, but does not show any aging of the leather. I don't have a lamb Expo, but I do have a goat Expo. It has a 40R torso and 40S sleeves. I measure 24.5" from the bottom of the neck seam to the edge of the back panel.

I caught a little of Imus wearing the jacket this morning. I could only see it from midchest and up. I don't remember seeing a storm flap. It looked like both sides of the zipper were visible. I couldn't see any pockets to compare. I'll plan to Tivo his show tomorrow in case he wears it again. Axel

I think I saw your jacket back on the clearance page on Flightsuits. It is advertised as a 40R torso and 40S sleeves. So it appears that they realized their mistake.

I measured my jacket from the outer shoulder seam to the end of the sleeve. It measures 22.5". It sounds like your jacket has 40 short sleeves.

Hopefully, G&B will confirm this.

Glad to hear that the problem has been solved and that it was due to the jacket getting wet and not to some aging aspect of the Expo. I feel better about the long term life of my Expo now.

After nearly ten years of wear the inside collar of my Indy jacket definitely was showing soiling. A darker jacket may not show the dirt as easily.

At the time I did not know of Pecard's. I had periodically used leather lotion of some kind, but I do not think that I had used it around the time of the cleaning. Is there an interaction between Pecard's and leather cleaning?

The dry cleaner farmed it out to a leather cleaner.

Forgive me, but I'm new to this modification. When you add an inch up front is that to the width/girth of the jacket or the length of the jacket front? Flathead, if I extend your reasoning of Wested vs. Aero and mil spec construction, would you expect a G&B Expo to last a lifetime vs. a Wested which would not? I'm not trying to stir the pot, but I suppose that's why the Expo cost more than the Wested.

Flathead, I had heard that when leather was referred to as buffalo that it was actually water buffalo and that leather was not normally made from bison. How can you be certain that a leather is bison and not water buffalo?
