I wore a cowhide Cooper Indy jacket for about ten years until it was ruined by a dry cleaner during a cleaning. I replaced it with a goatskin Expo from G&B. The goatskin has a smoother feel to it and is much lighter. I like it very much.

guitone, I have had my goat Expo for about one year now and love it. It is a 40 Short and fits me perfectly. Initially, it was quite stiff and a bit shiny. I put it through many cycles in a cold clothes dryer, wadded it up in a ball, and wore it every chance I could. Now it is quite supple and drape...

Rixter, Thanks for the comparison of the FS goat vs. FS lamb. My summary of your comments is that the lamb is more luxurious, but more fragile and is more of a special occasion vs. daily wear jacket. It drapes beautifully, but items in the pockets will show through the leather. Have you actually had...

I had a Cooper jacket that I purchased back in 1992. It was distressed cowhide. It was very heavy though soft and rugged. The distressing appeared to be by hand and not a uniform machine distressing like on some other leathers. It really looked beat up which I loved. When I first received it, my sis...

I've had my goatskin Expo for almost a year now. It has a 40R body and 40S sleeves and fits great. It has become quite supple, but does not show any aging of the leather. The goatskin appears to be very tough. Does anyone have both a goat and lamb Expo that they can give a comparison on? I'm curious...

Merry Christmas to everyone also! I have been wearing my B-2 around the house to get the fit better, plus it's my Xmas present to myself. Flathead, Thanks for the suggestions. The next time I order from Pecard, I will order some leather lotion. I'll need to decide whether to put it on the underside ...

Flathead, I used your suggestions to great results. My B-2 cap had a crack on the sheepskin at the front of the cap. I used shoe polish and Pecard's jell on the crack and it disappeared. I also used the jell on the horsehide trim and top of the visor. Is there anything I need to apply to the undersi...

I received my B-2 hat from Real McCoy's. It only took a little over a week to get here from New Zealand. The hat looks great. The thick cowhide visor already has that vintage look and the dark seal matches perfectly with my dark brown Expo. The hat fit very snuggly when I first got it. In fact I cou...

That is a beautiful jacket. I just received a Real McCoy's B-2 hat which I love. It took awhile before the hat fit my head comfortably. I had to stretch it out and let the shearling compress. It was the largest size they had. Now it is comfortable. I was wondering the same thing about treating my B-...

Thanks for all the good comments. This happened at least 2 years ago. I took it back to the cleaner and voiced my displeasure. He ended up coloring it to a light tan color. The problem with this was two-fold. First, all the distressing of the leather was covered up. Second, the coat now had a vinyl-...

Who has had their Indy jacket(s) professionally cleaned?
I had an "Official Indiana Jones" (Cooper/U.S. Wings) distressed cowhide jacket that I wore for about ten years. I finally decided that it needed a cleaning so I had a dry cleaner send it out for cleaning. When it came back it had gone from a chocolate milk color to off-white. It had been ...

Flathead, I wish that I had known that Real McCoy's offered the B-2 in the redskin. Judging from the pictures only, I favor the redskin because the visor and crown match colorwise. Flathead, Thanks for the info on the B-2. I can't wait to get it. Paddy said that I should have it by next week. I wear either a 7 1/2 or 7 5/8. I opted for the 7 5/8. It sounds like that was a good decision based on your experience. I do have some concerns that the shearling will fit too tightly. T...

On the U.K. Eastman's site, there is a link for U.S. and Canadian customers that will direct you to the U.S. distributor. I just put in an order for a Real McCoy's B-2 winter hat. It may be sacrilege to wear a hat other than a fedora with an Indy jacket, but I wanted a winter hat with ear flaps. The...

Forgive me, but I'm new to this modification. When you add an inch up front is that to the width/girth of the jacket or the length of the jacket front? If it is to the length of the jacket, will the front extend down farther then the back panel? And would the side panels match up with the front? Axel
