Keep looking on Ebay for a proper Webley holster. If you don't like it, you can always put it BACK on Ebay and sell to someone else. They'll usually be pre-distressed (60-80 years worth of weathering). You can also search for vintage leather holster and get a couple close-enough hits for low $$. Per...

Jim, IMA makes beautiful stuff! the .38 Webley is a bit smaller than the .455. The IMA holster is for the larger pistol. The .38 will rattle around a bit in there. I have an original Very Signal pistol holster, and it's pretty huge on the webley too. The bottom of the holster flares out a bit to fit...

COW WG has arrived. Thanks, Rook!!!
The postman delivered Rook's masterpiece today. Ready to serve the Queen. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v174/Halliburton/RookWGweb.jpg Upon seeing the factory fresh finish, my MK IV was green with jealousy, until she realised the WG was made of resin... http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v174/Hal...

Rook, I wondered how that would pan out, when you first offered the different finishes. It does open one up to a world of time consuming, custom work. I'd be happy with assembled, bare metal. Just tell me what brand paint you're using for the factory finish :D Please see my post on the stickied thre...

Howdy Rook, In light of the arduous nature of the painting you mention in the accompanying thread, why don't you send mine along paint-free? Being a prop guy myself, I can certainly do the paintwork on my bench, freeing you up for some of the other more detailed requests. I just wanna get my hands o...

I reckon if you're on a movie set, or at a well posted public event, there will be more tolerance. You may be able to get by at a costume party. Internal security may be cool with it, but the local law enforcement types may not. I transport all my weapons in locking travel cases, and keep replicas i...

I've had a pair for about 5 years. I wore them on screen in Templars, as they are a nice close-enough for british army boots as well. (Should be black pebble finish, but oh well.) The only drawbacks I found over the years is that my heels continually wore through the leather liner, and that about mi...

You can see some good examples of these kinds of sandals in "Lawrence of Arabia". Most are not as "fancy" as these, but the cut is similar.

TE Lawrenece and I were in Blighty for the filming of Templars (It's almost done!), and we made the pilgrimage to Peter's digs. While Lawrence purused the stalls for new gear, I availed myself of the custom tailoring services. The pockets on my lamb were getting seriously puffed out, and when loaded...
