Yeah, one bag!!! I've had a lot of experience with that stuff.... Just strech it THIN!!!! You could actually get two people to help you, you stand in the middle in your gear and have the two people strech it, then pull it down over you.... Something along those lines would work well. Good luck! Two...

Wow, that's some stunt you're pulling off there! (Hope SHE'S an Indy fan!) Yes, she's and Indy fan. Her favorite is Last Crusade. She got me the TOD and LC movie posters for Christmas last year and she got the Raiders Wested for me for my birthday this year. I think she's gonna get a kick out of th...

Todd's tutorial also instructs to bury the bag in dirt after using the bleach mixture. I'm sure that would add the "darkening" effect.

Maybe use a mix of water and potting soil, get it nice and muddy, then brush the mix onto the bag at various places and rub it down with an old cloth.

Another thread recommended 400 grit sandpaper. And I think someone else mentioned a Scotchbrite pad (did I read that right?)

I'm using 91% alcohol on my goat at the moment. Just small patches. I'll be picking up some acetone later on.

I'll see about getting pics. It's actually going to be a part of a larger "event"--a limited reenactment of the temple run and boulder chase starting with the film sequence and ending with me in full gear diving out of a hidden spot with whip and idol in hand, landing at my girlfriend's fe...

After reading all the praise heaped on the Adventurebilt (as well as checking out the site), I think I'm going to forego the Todd's Costume HJ and go for the Adventurebilt instead.

For the moment, though, my Jaxon Iconoclast serves as interim fed.

Actually, you could probably get away easily with just one package. When you spread that stuff out thick enough (to the point it truly looks realistic) you'll find a little goes a long way. bink I'll pick up a couple this weekend and try it out with one, see how it looks. I can use the 2nd pack for...

Wow. Looks great!

I'm planning to do that this weekend with my WPG bag. I've already printed out the instructions from Todd's site. Just need to pick up a steel brush or equivalent.

Chachapoyan Temple cobwebs

As Indy runs away from the boulder in the temple, he plows through a whole mess of cobwebs just before diving out the temple entrance and down the slope. I'm trying to recreate the look of Indy covered in the webbing by using the packages of stretchable Halloween webs (they even come with little spi...

The Swindiana Method works as well. Simply wear your jacket when it rains. Shine is reduced and jacket conforms a bit to your body, making it look more like "your" jacket. A nice, non-chemical method (well, to an extent - beware of acid rain...) Interesting method. If there's no ra...

Hi Relic,

I was eyeing that one, too, and wondering about the grips.

Hopefully there's someone out there who might be able to dole out some advice.

I'd pack a .45, a 10-inch Bowie and a pump action shotgun.

Lots of ammo.

And some sticks of dynamite in the MkVII.

Curses! Too long for a Raiders! However, if it's plastic it could be cut... :-k yeah, I'm planning on cutting down the barrel, and re-attaching the site to make it more Raiders accurate. I'm planning to do the same. Anybody have suggestions on how best to get a clean cut on something like that?

Sweet. I'll add those guns to the list and break out the black spray paint.

Or maybe use the paints for my gaming miniatures.

I don't know if this is a question in general or just for Westeds. I've got my eye on the Wested jackets. San Francisco Bay Area weather tends to shift quickly between cool/cold and warm/hot depending on where you go. I'd originally been thinking to go with the lamb due to the weather but I know I'...
