Hoo boy, no kidding! I just received my XXL today too, and yes, these DO run pretty small. In my case the XXL fits like a very small XL, and the length in the body isn't very proportional to the length of the sleeves. There's plenty of sleeve length, but the body barely makes it to my waist. It'll ...

Okay, so, after all of this time, I am finally posting a photo of my Akubra Federation. It has been on, I think, three overseas trips to Israel, and Italy. Here it is back home, recently. I've tried to give it a Raiders look, as much as possible, and have re-bashed it several times. I'm still findin...

I've got you, So more than likely, he's getting a new shipment of them in a few days, and that will be the batch that I'll be getting. I will have to agree about the photos looking excellent. Hey Shane, when did you order yours? I put in my order today for a small, and called him. He indicated he didn't have the small shirts yet, but would have them in a day or so. Also, I'm taking a chance ordering small, but I didn't want to wait for medium. Have you tried one of his before, and how do...

Well, I ordered it on the 5th, recieved it today, the 13th. While it was coming, I played around with my greandaddy's old stetson, popped the bash out of it, and practiced. Now, I've got a Raider's style bash on my new hat, and am pretty pleased with it. Maybe if I get the chance, I'll post some pho...

Re: Ordering Akubra on Sunday, Please Help...
Thank you for your response. Deluxe is made from their Heritage line of felt. Regular made from their Imperial line. Deluxe is a bit softer and slightly better quality. It has a richer brown color to it. How much do you want to spend? I think I want to go with the standard. As long as you think that...

Ordering Akubra on Sunday, Please Help...
Hello, well, I've been a member for quite some time and have participated in a few discussions about hats and bags, but now, I'm ready to get a hat. I did not read the whole thread, but the way I make poppers, is take black nylon thread, get my brother to hold his hands about a foot apart, and wrap the thread around his hands, until there is seven threads on both the underside of his hand and the top. Then, I tie a knot in one side, cut the othe...

Original Strap Sewed On? Need Help.
I just received my MK VII and it came with the original web strap. I think it is sewed onto the bag, or at least I can't figure out how to get it off.
Is there any way to get the original strap off without cutting it, or damaging it?

I've got the Queensland Flash going OK, although, I'm having a little trouble making my 'S's end up at twelve o' clock. Instead, they end up at 9:00 or 10:00. (12:00 being in front of me). But, target cutting is gettting better. I've got someone to wear a leather glove, and hold styrafoam strips. It...

The LL Bean Indy shirt is what I wear most of the time. I have long arms, and I have one small-size long-sleeve shirt. So for summer, I roll the sleeves up one or two times, unbutton the first couple of buttons, and I have a tighter fitting shirt, that looks on me, similar to the one on Indy on the ...
