Well I certainly hate shorts. I would wear pants rather than shorts just about anywhere. Action heroes and shorts just don't go together anyway. Bruce Willis tried it with Striking Distance and it looked lame.

So if you jump into a river wearing wool pants, do they still shrink a lot while they're on you? I'm thinking that would be an odd sight and an inconvenience if you're in the middle of an adventure.

You also have to remember that what is considered impractical by today’s standards was the norm for the period the films were set in. Which is why I'm totally fine with Indy's gear. I would have to agree with Ford on the gear. I buy the gear in spite of the practicality of it. Wool pants are too difficult to take care of. Leather isn't practical for hot weather and it's too expensive to just beat up. A bullwhip is pretty useless. A good fedora probably didn't cost nearly as muc...

If I buy a bag strap, I don't want to have to treat it with something. I'd rather abuse it and hope it handles it. Magnoli's strap is a bit more expensive than Todd's. Does anyone here prefer his straps?

T-shirts and jeans are what I live by. I wouldn't start wearing button-up shirts and slacks just because they go better with a fedora. I'll love my fedora(when I get it), but chances are it won't get worn that much in regular day-to-day activities.

Yeah, but that hat still looks like it's being worn off-center. Could be just a funny angle playing tricks on me, but the crease looks off-center, while the ribbon looks like it's exactly as far forward as you would expect from a turned hat.

Thanks. Lee's holster looked great, but I liked the darker color of Todd's holster better. I'm glad I went with the deluxe version. I like buying gear, but I'd rather my gear wasn't only good for show.

I would definitely like to see more research put into the whip swing. One of the greatest tragedies of my life was learning that it was impossible to swing with a bullwhip like Indy. If there is anyway it is possible, I'd like to know.
