Most accurate Temple of Doom bag strap
Hi Finding correct Temple of Doom bag strap has been a thing for me for some time now. The first thing is correct leather. This strap looked so smooth and thin and yet strong. The color appears to be very dark brown so it mostly looks black. tod bag.PNG It even gives me a feelings that some straps i...

Paul Stenhouse was last active in 2018 so you probably won't get an answer. You can just copy the tutorial from his original posts and paste into MS word document :TOH: Too bad to hear that someone was not active for that long. I hope they are OK. Were there any pictures in the document ? Because, ...

You won't get a quality whip for that amount of money. Only a costume piece like Todd's costumes whip or Magnoli clothiers whip. If you want a quality whip you either need to save more money or get a Paracord whip. I guess I will wait for now :) Maybe I will even get a piece of real leather for way...

These look very good, but too expensive right now. I was thinking about up to 200 euro. It does not need to be very high quality. I would only like that it's 12 plait and that it has it's core made from strong rope.

Thanks to everyone posting here. I have decided that I will carry this bag with it's original web strap. Dilemma about using original MKVII
So I have decided to buy an original W&G MKVII bag. This thing is beautiful and well preserved and the one I got looks straight out of Dial of Destiny, including correct studs. Here is my dilemma: I bought this bag so I will wear it, not for display. But now that I got it I noticed military stam...

I’d just focus on the color and studs for accuracy. You are right about using bags from multiple manufacturers. I doubt prop team have paid any attent...

Re: Satchel/Bag - the best repo?
Very good stitching job. This type of stitching takes patience to do and because you did it, you will love your bag even more.
I did not have patience to do this on any of my bags so I just burned frayed edges with lighter, but it does not look that good and clean as yours.

That's a great looking bag. Yours looks like the one from Dial of Destiny. You can spray paint metal lanyard disc darker. This sewing defect you mentioned can easily be fixed. If you do not own sewing machine you can ask your local shoemaker. It will cost you less than sending the bag back or buying...

As far as I know, not really. This has become my "grail" in the last years... I want a full metal M1917 replica, with at least some moving parts. I have the HG131 airsoft revolver, but it is mostly plastic. The Tanaka replica is also heavy weight ABS, but it weighs around 600 grams so rea...

There were probably multiple bags used for filming. I noticed nickel D-ring in Cairo scene too. And small nickel O-ring during the scene where Indy is putting bag of sand into the bag. In Temple of Doom in the scene where they are on the plane the O rings also looked like nickel, but when Indy is pu...

Re: RAIDERS Bag Strap Revelation
I still believe that the strap used in Raiders was simply just one rifle sling. They were examples of K98 leather slings (and other rifles) that were up to 75" long. It's unlikely that prop team would waste time fusing two straps together than simply going with something else. Those two horizon...
