Forgive my ignorance but what is the difference?
It seems to be a specialization in hat making, focused on womens head wear?
Curious.

Re: Socks
Bear- Just a tad too big-- although this size is what I would wear in any other boot... go figure. They have definitely improved as I put some wear into the leather. Continue to get compliments on them and IMHO they wear well with anything that I would normally wear. Except maybe athletic shorts or ...

Re: Socks
Just to follow back-- I picked up a couple of different pairs of merino wool socks and they have been working a treat. I'll be more careful in my sizing of an Indy style boot in the future however-- I think that will help even more.

Re: New Agnoulita Templar fedora
Is there a link to their site, this needs investigating. But that’s a nice looking hat, and yes nice job on the demensional cut. Thought I remember reading they took a large pair scissors to cut the brim. Croft  https://www.agnoulitahats.com/en-us/collections/explorer Take a look here ^ rc...

Re: Tanaka M1917 availability
Well for now at least, I've ended the search for this particular piece and my holster filler is a 3d print. For the prices that some of these models go for I was hoping for some functionality and weight also.. I may end up looking for the genuine article one day and just spending the big bucks. rc325

Re: Tanaka M1917 availability
Need to keep searching. That is part of the fun.
Maybe I should just substitute the DL44 for the time being and see if anyone notices?

Re: Movie Theater Carry
Forgiveness rather than permission on this. Firearms/Holster... Context is everything on stuff like this but I'd air on the side of treating it the same way I would a real firearm (which is that its better concealed) when in public places. When you are walking around dressed like Indy (or in full ki...

Tanaka M1917 availability
Hey All -
Just wondering what that looks like these days. Finding precious little except out of stock. Sent some inquiries to Japan but haven't had any luck so far. Any other options?
It's looking like I may have to put my 3d printer back in service, so I can have a holster filler.
Best,

Re: Socks
I'm down to try anything that works! Looks like a few sporting goods stores near me carry the smart wool products.
As far as the military and hunting options, one of my buddies up north pointed me to some good potential options.. but his climate is much more like Siberia than the amazon so..

Re: Socks
Thanks for your reply! I don't have a similar store near me, but I definitely follow your logic... "if one is good three is better"... I never really gave much thought to socks as they are often handed out at the holidays at a rate that I never seem to run low. That said, I only have 1 or ...

Re: Wested Boots - fully tested review
Thanks for the reply! The last pair of boots I wore religiously was a pair of Ariats. Back in those days I worked in a warehouse and the break in period was brutal. I was young and much more stubborn in those days and distinctly remember wrapping my feet in duct tape, standing in a bath tub full of ...

Socks
Hey all- What socks do you wear with your boots? I've got drawers full (as I expect many of us probably do) but I have never been intentional about socks as a garment. I suppose there isn't a "screen" accurate pair of socks but I am curious... What keeps your feet dry, warm and comfortable...

Re: Wested Boots - fully tested review
They look mighty similar to some of the boots on Far East marketplace sites... Not saying they are but it does make me wonder.. I've gotten in a pair of the Westeds that I have been wearing for about two weeks now. For the price I think some of the quality issues on my boot are acceptable but I woul...

Re: Adventure accurate Indy Boots
This thread/video makes me wonder if there are a pair of good "enough" uppers that one could have them rebuilt in a similar way to make a much better boot...
