Would these hold up as everyday light work/chore boots? To develop some natural patina.
I have a pair of 405s, but they're from the pumpkin years, and I came to like the color too much to abuse them.

Looks pretty good. Have you had it in regular rotation those 20 yrs? I appreciate the art of weathering, but since I've started reading here, I've really enjoyed the stories of gear that's actually lived in.

That's a nice jacket
As for close enough for costumes, I've worn a brown cotton jacket as Indy and never had anyone mistake the look.

Great look. Sleeves look amazing after only a few days of genuine wear.

I had already been talking to them about a new LC jacket. That is now a lock, thanks to my positive experience, when the time comes.

I bought a second hand S&J. I reached out with a thousand questions and Diego treated me with the courtesy of an original customer. Absolutely top notch customer service.

Thank you all for all the feedback! I've never worn an Indy jacket and I was obsessing over tiny details, like how far before the belt the back rests. Etc. The sleeves are probably 2" longer than they appear, they're just tucked into the cuff. Totally manageable as is or I can get them fixed la...

Hello, COW! - Seeking some advice on fit. I had been spec'ing out a S&J when I saw this (mostly) new '36 bouncing around eBay. (Here as well, I think.). I thought the shoulders, sleeves, and back might be too long, and the chest too snug (a 40, and I'm ~41) but I wanted to get my hands on the th...

Re: My first Indy jacket- S&J in thin horsehide
Beautiful. I've always loved the idea of a horsehide Indy jacket but none of the examples I'd seen looked right. This is awesome.
