hmmmm, no sanding at all just a little acitone,but thanks for the advice, I see what you mean next time ill try to prevent that. but i like the way this turned out, to me it looks pretty natural, i have gotten several complements on it at work.

the felt is very soft to the touch, but holds its shape well, it is a little thicker than a penny, it is a deep chocolate brown, the ribbon is several shades darker than the hat. the quality in the seams is easy to see the leather band was stiff at first but after several days of wear is has softene...

a couple years ago I went hiking with the family, we ran into a state trooper at the head of the trail we chatted for a bit and at the end of our visit his words were "Well have a good hike and I hope you'r packing, there have been some bear sitings lately" so the moral is I guess that law...

Well here in alaska we dont have snakes , or rats, the things we have need a little bigger deturent than say a torch...like ,Bears ,Moose,Fox, wolves,Carabou,and the occasional bad guy :shock: at least we dont have to go through tha hassel of getting any licence or anything,just pay and pack. :D

why yes they are shells, .44 mag ,I carry it under my Wested in a shoulder holster when out and about. never know when you might need to reload.I will upload a pic or two in a few moments.

Ok I am about to throw my Wested in the dryer for several hours with NO heat, my question is do I need to add anything with it like a shoe or something to bounce around in the dryer with it? also do I need to put pecards on it first?

yes I have a locker but it is too far away to be trusted, there have been thefts from the lockers, the way they are built even when locked they can pull open....I should just wear ir with my scrubs. :shock: :lol:

Jacket Identification

As you may or may not know I just got my new TOD wested, well I will be wearing it to work and was wondering if anyone had an idea on how to be able to permanantly ID my jacket without messing it up....I wish I could have had an id tag sewn in when it was made.any suggestions?

I think if you plan on wearing anything like a sweater or flannel shirt under it you might need a little more, like 3-4 inches,plus it gives you room for those pesky holliday meals....mmmmmmm :wink:
