As an add on I have some old felt stock. About 5 Raiders bodies and 5 clipper bodies. I'm of the opinion that I'd like to offer these bodies to members only to road test and review. Stiffener does this. You can still have a dense body that is floppy.

There are lots of sources that will tell you that the ribbon was German made. However "all" hatmaking was done out of Stockport uk at the time up until the 90s. All the hat manufacturers were consolidated on one site. Every one had there hats made there. Lock, christys and hj to name a few...

That's a well worn and well loved hat. The best advice is to have it reblocked and maybe a new Ribbon installed. However you might prefer your ribbon weathered. Looks like a good quality Beaver body that should last for years. However some tapering does affect hats that are in constant use. Could be...
