I couldn't see a way to have the M1917 barrel cut without all kinds of dubious compromises. If I may ask, what were the compromises you would have had by cutting the barrel? Anyone know how long it takes for an Akubra IV Deluxe to get to the states? Will it be less than a month? Or should I just get a David Morgan Adventurer to cut out some of the wait time?
