Reblock wasn’t really an option so I sent them off to other adventurers on the forum. I already ordered a grey fedora and waiting for more Harrison’s to arrive.
I need a new jacket as well, got a size 46 in the bazaar.

Re: Lost weight/head shrunk, advintage fedoras too big now :-(
I’m thinking about just ordering some new one’s vs a re block. I guess I could stuff the liner to drop down two sizes.

Lost weight/head shrunk, advintage fedoras too big now :-(
Over the last 18 mos I’ve manage to get very lean, and my head size got a lot smaller too! I have two fedoras from advintage. The Harrison is 59 and the SOC decent custom is 58.8. Today after my short haircut I measure 56.5. It was right at 57 last week with normal length sides though. I was looking...

Advintage SOC decent version finally arrived!
Well what seemed like an eternity, this fedora finally arrived yesterday. I ordered it back in February and Thomas shipped it out April 28th, coming from Germany to Kentucky. Seemed like it was lost to customs it had been stuck there for several weeks. Glad to say it arrived safely, and well package...

Sweatband shrinkage amount average?
I'm trying to figure out how much a sweatband typically shrinks after a certain amount of wear. The last two fedoras I've purchased have been factory 59 and I throw padding in the back to make them fit right. I'm pretty much a 58.5. If I go custom route I'm wondering if I should go 59, or say 58.8, ...

Re: New to me, hero raiders..sleeves a little too long
rbxb- Did you wash the whole jacket? And use a dryer?
I’d like to just wash the sleeves and see about getting them to shrink. Let me know how it turns out and how much the arms shrink up. I might look into that vs finding a tailor who knows how to work with leather.

Re: Best shirt in USA?
We're currently working on a ready-made version of our Adventure Shirt (I'm wearing the prototype right now!) and planning to keep the price under $100. Will post some news later this week or early next, most likely. Would these be 100% cotton? Linen/cotton blend would be nice, and lightweight for ...

Re: New to me, hero raiders..sleeves a little too long
How long have you worn it? Leather has a tendency to start riding up at the elbows with regular wear. If it’s new and unworn, you may regret cutting off 1.5 inches too soon. :-k I’d wear it a while before cutting the sleeves. Regards! Michaelson I just got it so I've only tried it on, and it seems ...

New to me, hero raiders..sleeves a little too long
So I found a new to me practically unworn hero raiders. The previous owner was 6’2” so the back length is 25.5, and the sleeves are 25. I’m almost 6ft so the back is perfect to me it’s just the sleeves could be an inch shorter or 1.5. I thought about getting it altered but now I’m wondering if I sho...

What's your favorite Indy style shirts in od green or other colors? Something comfortable in the spring/summer. Does anyone make the indy shirt in the same pattern but different colors?

Re: Anyone own both MKVII bag (Magnoli and WPG) Pro/cons?
The first thing to make the originals more practical which the movie guys also did was take a scalpel and carefully detach the stitching of the central divider .. this leaves you with two large side by side pockets and a smaller pen and phone pocket. Great tip! Less is definitely more in thi...

“Fedora” guy hat and jacket info from Last Crusade?
It’s a rainy day so I put on Last Crusade, was wondering if there’s any information on the fedora and jacket that the fedora guy was wearing?
Cheers!

My favorite "close" shirt is made by Orvis. I wear these in the field for work and I still get an occasional "nice Indy shirt." Great quality. https://www.orvis.com/p/bush-shirt/21le" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; They’re proud of their shirts for 98.00...

I ended up getting an original bag with leather strap from wpg. I'll order a magnoli bag next to use for daily work if the original is too weathered.
Thanks!

Which Wested compliments a hoodie better? Raiders or LC?
I’m looking for a Wested raiders jacket that takes to layering a zip up hoodie or pullover comfortably. I’m a 46” chest now so I’m wondering if i should go with a 46 or 48? Which cut would you feel is best for full mobility? Zipped up or riding a motorcycle?

Good points on getting a reproduction for daily use, and the original for special occasions. I would use it for daily work commute..

Advintage sizing. Do they run large? Choosing 58 or 59cm
I’ve decided to order an advintage in raiders sable 80/20. I’ve read some posts that they run large? I have an Akubra fed iv that I recently ordered at size 59 and it was too big, dropped down to my ears. With a bit a foam tape on the back it fit ok. I got some tape this time and measured sometimes ...

Re: Is Herbert Johnson the holy grail of indy fedoras now?
Yeah I didn't really follow recent events in the last couple years but I've heard of Penman, AB, Steel and Jones, Advintage, Husvud and others were making great custom fedoras, pretty dead on. Also the everyman/advintage factory models look great. I was unsure about H&J because for the longest t...

I've been going through so many older posts, reading about other hat makers who are making raiders hats since HJ of old wasn't making them or lost the blocks??
Long story short is HJ the hat to get in 2020? Would you still go with Penman, AB, advinture, fed iv, etc instead now?

Re: Anyone own both MKVII bag (Magnoli and WPG) Pro/cons?
I'm leaning toward going with an original bag with a leather strap and see how long it lasts before going to reproduction. I guess the historical feature and they won't be around forever is why I'd like to check one out. My only concern is dry rot or how much weight they can hold on a daily basis. C...

I'm looking at both sites for reproduction bags with leather strap. Price is almost double at magnoli, but I'm interested in the new interior redesign of the magnoli. Of course WPG has some original bags as well to add to the mix. Thoughts on either one? Real world use and durability is most importa...

Update! (please) haha sorry about that! Ok here's an update. This had become my number one fedora. Now all the rest of my hats just don't seem to look as good on me, or are as comfortable to wear. This hat holds its shape so well, yet the Beaver is so soft. It just feels good on the head and the le...
