I would love to hear about the actual differences and what they are, once and for all. Did anyone ask Peter the last time, or has it been confirmed already that it's just collar/studs/length that does it between the jackets? So... Tell me about your jacket length... And is your mother a lamb? Regar...

Harry, I notice your saw my thread, but for the record... My recent Wested was size 42, chest 38, shoulder 7, length 25, sleeve 25, and is I believe, after much reflect screen accurate in length. Check the scene in Raiders, when Indy finds the Nazis are digging in the wrong place (and monkey snuffs ...

My New Wested Dilema
OK, so several years on from purchasing a Goat Wested, I ordered a Lambskin during the recent UK 2004 Summit, ironically it arrived at my house while I was on a return visit to Wested  The jacket is beautiful  so you might well ask what is the dilema? Well IHO it is too short. I am 6'1&...

I like the look and feel of the 'homepage' but I would say that the hats should be shot against a neutral background - white? - so as not to distract from the focus of the shot, i.e. the hat. Still, it looks like it's all coming together, except so far, no mention of the 'buy now pay later' or easy ...

One of the problems with the old Wested jackets was the pleats would stay open. Part of this was due to them being too shallow. The depth appears to be correct on my new one. The only other way this problem would rear its ugly head is if the lamb relaxed too much and just stayed open. Confidence is...

You got me there Chamorro! I should have snapped the blurb as well. There wasn't much to be honest, it certainly didn't go into much detail. Basically as stated at first, it was issued to operatives during WWII. It was the dating that caught my eye as well as the similarity. However I seem to recall...

Is this the Raider's Knife?
I saw this at the London Imperial War Museum.
It was part of a display on undercover operatives (er, spys to the unitiated) who were deployed in Europe during WWII.

Definitive hat or jacket! I don't believe it's possible to get either. There were so many shapes, cuts, bashes, and studio adjustments it is - IMHO - impossible to say what is the ultimate hat or jacket. I do tend to follow the line of thought that the jackets were made with all cotton linings (I th...

I have had my Wested Goatskin since spring/summer last year (I am terrible for remembering exact dates). I have not coated it with anything, and so far it has not deteriated in any way. It's been on beaches (sand and sea water), in the rain, subjected to heat. I have deliberately tried not to cosset...

Thanks Maryon, it's not like my dearest and nearest doesn't like Indy (I mean that would be grounds for divorce  ), it's just spending so much cash on something that's just a hobby / obsession is hard to justify on a measly budget. Still I am willing to buy her the Marion dress (by the way, yo...

I am not sure how using your whip in a public park would go down in the UK. A lot of our parks are fairly small affairs, with a few playground things and a bit of grass. I think we would be better off at a more remote place, which may make it less convenient and also less often that we can practice....

Here are a couple of sites in the UK with leather dressing products. I cannot recommend any, but if someone from the US could have a quick look and tell us which ones seem to be the same type of product as Pecards, it might help us UK-heads. http://www.denewear.co.uk/shop.cfm?productid=21 http://www...

You know, after 13 years of marriage, you think you'd know your wife wouldn't you? Of course, a bunch of flowers is always a good touch, but not to get a harsh word for buying a whip was something of a surprise - mind you the fact that the wrong (and so much cheaper) price was on the packaging helpe...

Given that kangaroos are in plague proportions in some parts of Australia, there's bound to be no shortage of good quality pelts. We've just had a cull of 15,000 kangeroos not far from where I live, and that is planned to become a yearly event to keep numbers down. Hmm, does this mean the price of ...
