Pics of new SA Raiders Holster by Jake Johnson

I have made an attempt to duplicate the Raiders holster. I think this is a good color match without any dye. Just time in sunlight. The other holster pictures show it un-oiled, and has yet to be molded. The pattern of my newer version is based on the one published here on COW by K on the Run.

This holster is made of 7-8 oz Hermann Oak tanned leather (the best hides IMHO) The main seam is hand sewn with linen thread at 8 stiches per inch. A close up will show the detail on the end toe plug. All edges are burnished by hand to a smooth finish. After molding, the holster recieves a finish of olive oil and neatsfoot oil. There is no dye used, so the color will not rub off on your expensive SA tailored trousers. You will notice a double edge crease along the flap edge. This is what I've come to find after seeing a few close-ups on the Raiders DVD.

If any COW mewmbers are interested, I plan to make a small amount available at the QM summit. Price is 125.00 USD.

Let me know what you think.

All holsters are oiled before shiiping and have a natural russet color.

Very nice work. I like the color of the first one and the design of the second. I already have two holsters, but if I didn't I would definitely buy one

Looks great! I'd like to see how it darkens up over time.

It will darken like the other photo of the first holster. This will give it the correct color.

Yeah, that final color is nice. None of the usual brick-red's we see on others.

Good work, how much would the smaller of the two cost?
