A really trashed MK VII?
I received my one with the mouse hole in the flap and the inside is in such great shape I don't want to cut any of it to repair the hole.
So, if anyone has an old MK VII that they considered unrepairable,
Can you spare a 4"x4" piece of it to fix my flap?
Do you have a fabric store in your area? If so you can go there and find some material that is the same texture and shape and have them show you the iron on patch stuff. It is super easy to use.
Thank you. I am a pro costumer and that is the way it can be done.
I would like some vintage fabric, ie: another MK VII, so the patch piece will match the existing fabric, modern, new fabric would not look completely matching
If the hole was in the back rather than in the flap it would be easier to use modern fabric.
Just thought of something.....If you don't need it, you can take some out of the inside divider if you can't get any vintage material.
Apparently I can't read If any one else wants to take their divider out to help you, that would work too. I swear, I just skim sometimes and make myself look stupid.

Did you purchase it knowing about the mouse hole? If you expected to receive a bag with no issues, then I'd look into returning or exchanging it. If you knew about the hole prior to buying it, then I'd ask for the mouse.
No, I was aware that the hole was there. My Original plan was to cut some of the inner fabric out and patch the hole.
The inside is in such good shape I am loath to damage it
If I cant get some old fabric I will just cut one of the inner walls for the patch and patch the inside with modern fabric
And I am not to happy with the seller  the mouse was not included with the bag.
Even with an old bag, I don't think you'd be able to get a good match. Honestly? I'd just buy a new one for $40...worth the money in time and effort alone.
You know, that bag is so randomly discolored and stained, I don't think you'd any problem matching the "finish" with hand-dyed/distressed modern fabric.
