Nah... you probably just sewed that label in yourself
Honestly I believe they (the top 3 or 4 suppliers) can and do (have) gotten the details right from time to time. But I think they are ALL inconsistant, maybe the individual who's making the jacket on a given day doesn't pay attention to the details as much as we'd like or they should.
The trouble I have with your posts (and, it's probably JUST me) is that they are often so vague when there is so much more that you can include initially, but for some reason choose to leave out often leaving further details to dribble out in subsequent posts.
You again post a pic (and as one of those casual Indygear fans that Rundquist refers to in another thread) that I for one am left wondering, yeah, ok, where does this come from, or why and how did Peter do it this way on this particular jacket, and on and on...
You refer to wanting "to document that 'Wested' can do it," but you do not credit your documentation. I personally find this very annoying. You may be referencing another thread where this was discussed, but, for the casual reader it would help to include some details or opinions on the problem or at least a pointer to where you may have already discussed the details revolving around this issue.
My 3 aren't like this either, but I wanted to document that they can do it.
oh they can do it probably 2 times out of 15 on a standard order. you'll probably have to pay an extra $50 for them to actually account for it in your order and its STILL a @#$% shoot when you receive it. then you try to return it and they don't get back to you and yadda yadda yadda.

Sorry that I make you feel this way. It's not on purpose.
On this particular occasion there was a reason but I am not allowed to say more.
Yeh, the collar is half way, but the storm flap looks way too wide and the collar stand jutts out past the flap way too far. What a mess! And that fake distressed look. Ick.

Tell us how you really feel, lol. I don't see how it looks like "fake" distressing. There's plenty of fake looking distress jobs out there, and this ain't one.
'Blues
Well, it IS fake distressing as the leather is pre-distressed cowhide. It never looked natural, nor did I claim it to.
There is some real distressing mixed in there too, and then it went through the washing machine, which took some more dye out of it. I did not count on that. But, I like the look as it gives me a different looking jacket from the other 5 Indy jackets I own. Six if you count Todd's. Life would be boring if they were all the same, wouldn't it?
The point of this thread is the collar placement, not whether you think the jacket is visually appealing or not. Platon, here is the picture you requested earlier.
