This isn't your JPD is it?

Mine is beaver, and I haven't had any pilling, even when I carry it my hands for extended periods of time.

I wouldn't think a good beaver felt would do that...but then again, maybe it's luck of the draw...

As a proud owner of a beaver felt JPD in a raiders style, I've would highly recommend Jimmy's hats. I don't have much long-term experience with hats in general (i've had this one since may?) but so far this thing has been bulletproof. I like it so much, I'm thinking about asking Jimmy to make one in...

Gabrielle, When I ordered my hat, I was most interested in the tight front pinch, but other than that, I just asked Jimmy to give me his best generic ROTLA look, and that's what I got. No, I haven't done any bashing of it myself. I have learned over the years that the more I "Play" with so...

I'd call Jimmy and ask him about it. When I bought my JPD from him, he was very knowledgeable about the different "indy styles." So I'm sure he could build the turn into the hat...unless you're really looking to do it yourself. I've been very please with my JPD. It's een in the rain , sin ...

I owned a Stetson Temple for a short period of time before I found COW and their FAQ on different hats. It wasn't a bad hat at all. I paid $130ish for it. I didn't experience the problems that seem to be common to them. I would say for the price, you can find better hats that have more of the Indy l...

Well...I just got back to Oregon from NJ. 2 flights, NJ to Denver, Denver to Eugene. First flight - the ol' asleep with hat on head/face. Worked pretty well...a small problem though if you're used to sitting in a window seat and leaning your head against the window. Second flight, small region...

Flying with your hat

Hi all, For those of you who fly with your hat, what do you do with it once you're on board? I mean, for flights over 3 hours, there's only so much time you can spend napping with it over your face. :-) Flights are usually so full today, the overhead bon isn't really an option, and I'm not a fan of ...

I wear mine almost everyday.

I've always thought that wearing a fedora is a lost art, along with other "gentlemanly" ways.

So for me it's part of everyday dress, like wearing work place appropriate clothes.

Very nice hat!

Interesting that your liner is purple...mine's green. Did you ask for that color? And is this beaver or rabbit?

Sincerely,

Brian C.

Gabrielle, I'm glad you like your hat. it's hard to describe, isn't it, just how robust the hats are. Is yours rabbit or beaver? In the few weeks I've had mine, it has settled into my head shape just fine, like a glove, just as you describe. Again, congrats. I' look forward to some pictures. :D Bria...

I received my hat from Jimmy yesterday, the 24th of April. From date of order / pmt to receipt of hat was almost exactly 6 weeks. First off, I must say the hat exceeded all my expectations. :-D Many people have give reviews, and I'll probably end up saying much the same as them, but here goes. I ord...

Just to put my .02 in. I ordered a hat from JPD in march, and my card was charged on the 14th of March. I specifically asked about turnaround time, and was given the 3-4 weeks time frame like the others. Last Monday the 14th of April, I called Mr. Pierce to ask about my hat, as it was 4 weeks. Was t...
